Despite still experiencing some warm summer weather, September is when fall officially begins. It’S also when I start fully immersing myself in all things warm and cozy. I take out all my knitted sweaters and scarves from storage, and suddenly everything in my house smells and tastes like pumpkin spice. It’s the beginning of the very best season, so here are my favourites from September.
COzy Chai Scentsy
I usually assume everyone knows what Scentsy is, but if not here it goes. Scentsy is actually just a company that sells delicious smelling things, in particular warmers and scented wax. It lasts soo much longer than a normal candle and smells so good. I always get really excited when their Fall and Christmas scents come out, so I went a little overboard with my ordering this month. This Cozy Chai scent has to be my favourite. It smells spicy and warm and makes me want to curl up under a blanket with a good book (which I’m usually doing anyways).
I love Christmas. And I love Christmas lights. I have also been known to cry in January when I have to take my Christmas lights down. So I bought these white twinkle lights to use all year round. I use them in my bedroom and my living room. They are perfect for the evening when you want some dim lighting to read or watch a movie, or just have some relaxing time before bed.
Cinnabon Coffee creamer
This stuff is so awful for you. Against my better judgement, I actually read the ingredients. I don’t think I could pronounce anything in there. However, I rarely eat processed foods. I cook most thing from scratch. So whats the big deal with this one bad habit? Because really, it is the first thing I think about every morning, at 6:00 AM, when I’m trying to drag myself out of bed. It honestly makes my coffee taste like a cinnamon bun. And while most people probably think that’s disgusting and weird, I’m obsessed,
The Simple Show
I love podcasts. I spend a lot of time in my car, and listening to music can get a little boring. This one is my favourite right now. Tsh (the host) just seems to love everything I love. From books (especially Harry Potter), to travel, to Meyers-Briggs, I have never listened to an episode I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. Listening to her really just feels like you’re chatting with a good friend over coffee.
Laneige Water bank Serum
I may adore fall, but apparently my skin does not. Between pimples, dry patches and eczema outbreaks, I feel like perhaps it would be best if I go into hibernation and come back out when spring is here. This, however, is apparently not an option (who makes these rules?). So instead I discovered this water serum from Sephora. After just a few days, all my skin issues had completely cleared up. It leaves my face feeling hydrated while still being so light, so it never causes oiliness. Also, it is one of the cheaper serums I’ve seen (those things can be pricey!) costing only $46.
