I have spent the entire month of March so far sick. So thankfully, I’ve found a few things to keep me entertained, cheer me up, and generally make me feel better this month. Here are my March favourites!
Jane the Virgin
I am not one to binge watch a show on Netflix. But there is a very good chance that I flew through the entire first season of this show in a couple days. Granted, I was sick and didn’t have much else to do. But still, this show is great. It’s so cute and clever, and to my own detriment, very addictive.
My boyfriend is the world’s best present buyer. He never buys jewelry or gift cards, that is waaay too generic for him. He buys you things that you didn’t even know you wanted. And this year, for my birthday, he bought me an indoor herb garden. I am currently growing mint, parsley, dill, thyme, and two kinds of basil on my kitchen counter. Jealous? I thought so.
The Babysitters Club Club
What could be funnier than two grow men reading The Babysitters Club series and then dissecting it on a podcast? The answer is nothing. Not only do they talk about which babysitter they most identify with, they also talk about the deeper meaning of the books. Did you know these books were deeply influenced by Marxism, Freud and Religion? Neither did I.
I have become slightly addicted to lattes in the past few weeks. I was spending $7 every Saturday on one at our local coffee shop. As much as I love supporting local businesses, this habit was getting extremely pricey. So I bought a small stovetop espresso maker, a milk frother and espresso beans, all for $25 and got down to making some delicious homemade lattes. I’ve been experimenting with different combinations, so expect to see some recipes soon!
What have you been enjoying this month?
