I posted at the beginning of 2018 about my intentions for the new year. For some reason, intentions just feel better than resolutions to me. For the same reason, I like to set monthly intentions now, instead of monthly goals. These intentions are something I like to keep in mind throughout the month, without making myself feel guilty if I don’t reach a specific goal. Here are my intentions for February!
The other day I realized that I have not been outside for more than a few minutes at a time since NOVEMBER. That’s insane. It’s been either freezing cold, or rainy and grey here all winter, so going outside hasn’t exactly seemed appealing. But sunshine and fresh air are so important, and that’s why we have long underwear!
Eat More Green Things
Green skittles don’t count…. If I tell myself I can’t have chocolate/chips/pasta/pizza, I will instantly want all of it. Instead, I’m trying to load up on fruits and veggies so I don’t even crave all the unhealthy things.
Drink More Water
This in an intention every month, because I suck at drinking enough water, and it’s kinda important.
Set Aside Time to Relax
With our busy schedules, taking time to relax always seems to take the back burner. But we all need it. Even if it’s just time for a bath, or to watch an episode of your favourite show, or read a chapter of your book, it can do wonders.
