Happy Thursday everyone! February is one of my favourite months. The winter weather seems less harsh, days are longer, and everything is decked out in Valentine’s Day decorations. I’m pretty indifferent on the holiday itself, but I do love the colour pink and everything love themed. Here are a few of my favourites from this month!
WHO ELSE KNEW H&M SOLD HOME DECOR!?! This was a life changing discovery. I had been looking everywhere for some knew cushion covers for my living room, and finally found some at H&M. They were inexpensive and amazing quality. Plus, completely adorable.
Nightly Face Routine
I am in constant battle with my face. It’s dry. Like, visible flakes coming off my nose sort of dry. But I still get blackheads. This seems really unfair to me, but such is life. Luckily, I have finally found an evening routine that ensures my face looks half decent when I wake up. First, I take all my makeup off with coconut oil. Then I apply my under eye cream (I’m determined not to wrinkle), a serum, and finally my Clinique moisturizer. I always found this moisturizer very thick, almost like my face couldn’t really absorb it. But somehow, the serum and the moisturizer end up being the perfect combination
Clinique Pep Start Hydroblur Moisturizer
And continuing on with my face obsession…. I had been eyeing up the Clinique “Pep Start” line from Sephora for awhile now, and finally made a snap decision while waiting in line at the checkout to pick up the travel size of the moisturizer. Oh my gosh it is perfect. I use it in the morning under my makeup. It moisturizes, while not being so slick that your makeup slides right off. It also uses “hydroblur” technology which diminishes imperfections (clearly hydroblur technology is a made up thing, but also they are marketing geniuses and I fell for it).
Gentle Wakeup App
I’m a good sleeper, and even pretty good at getting up in the morning. But I HATE all alarms. So I downloaded this app which wakes you up naturally by gradually making the room lighter and making bird chirping sounds. I always wake up from the light alone, and usually I’m actually convinced it’s daylight. Sometimes to the extent that I start to panic that I’ve missed my alarm. But alas, nothing in life is perfect.
